GIZ Ukraine, local businesses and clusters discuss economic opportunities and challenges for the residents of the region and the barriers faced by vulnerable groups

May 29, 2026

The discussion took place as part of the STEP IN 2 EU international cooperation programme under the EU4Business.

The programme aims to create better economic conditions and financial opportunities for Ukrainian companies to benefit from integration into the EU single market.

During the meeting, participants focused particularly on involving male and female veterans in business and on sharing success stories and the challenges faced by vulnerable groups when implementing economic initiatives.

According to GIZ Ukraine, the findings of the analysis will help to develop practical approaches to integrating inclusion principles into work processes, as well as recommendations for future decisions and measures.

Meanwhile, it is important to see active contributors to Ukraine’s recovery and economic development in these groups, not merely people in need of support 🇺🇦
