SKYLA: first meeting of stakeholders in Lviv

On 19 December 2024, the Regional Development Agency of Lviv Region held the first meeting of stakeholders within the SKYLA project, which brought together experts from the region to agree on priorities and opportunities for regional growth.

During the event, more than 20 best practices from the project’s partner countries were reviewed and analysed. The most relevant examples were selected for potential implementation in the region. These practices provided a deeper understanding of innovative approaches to developing skills for the twin transition and implementing the smart specialisation strategy.

In cooperation with representatives of the Economic Policy Department and the Education and Science Department of the Lviv Regional State Administration, participants identified priority areas in which the development of such skills is in line with the 2021–2027 Lviv Region Development Strategy. This will enable a better response to the region’s needs, even in the face of challenges associated with martial law.

The meeting concluded with the approval of an action plan. The developed roadmap defines the main goals and objectives for the implementation of the identified priorities and ensures their compliance with the long-term development strategy of the region.
