Second meeting of JEWELS TOUR stakeholders in Lviv

28 January 2025 marked the second meeting of JEWELS TOUR stakeholders entitled the Jewish Cultural Heritage as a Leverage for Sustainable Tourism. Together with experts, the team of the Regional Development Agency of Lviv Region identified key areas for the initiative’s development.

The discussion became a platform for the exchange of views between representatives of the cultural, tourism, and scientific communities, who are jointly seeking effective solutions for the valorisation and promotion of heritage.

The discussion focused on:
— ways of integrating cultural heritage into the modern tourist space;
— valorisation of Jewish heritage: effective ways to preserve, promote, and adapt historical sites for tourists;
— cooperation with local communities: how to involve local residents in the project, creating added value for the region.

Representatives of the Lviv National Academy of Arts, the West Ukrainian Centre Hillel NGO, and the Ukrainian National Committee of ICOMOS attended the meeting.

The meeting resulted in the identification of current challenges and priorities, which will form the basis for the development of further steps and strategic planning.
