Dec. 8, 2025
On 8 December, representatives of the Regional Development Agency of Lviv Region took part in a seminar organised as part of the project entitled Eco-Industrial Parks Programme II – Implementation at National Level in Ukraine to raise awareness of the integration of the eco-industrial park (EIP) model into regional development strategies.
Participants examined in detail the concepts of EIP and cluster development, ways of integrating them into regional strategies, international examples of EIP model implementation, and successful cooperation between industrial clusters and public authorities. Special attention was paid to the economic, environmental, and social benefits of such approaches for local communities.
During interactive sessions, participants contributed to developing potential ways of adapting regional strategies to the principles of sustainable industrial development and identifying regional priorities for integrating EIP and cluster development approaches.
The GEIPP–II Ukraine project is being implemented by the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture of Ukraine, as part of the Global Eco-Industrial Parks Programme, which is funded by the Swiss Government through the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs.
