Acting Director of the Regional Development Agency of Lviv Region Iryna Tymechko took part in a regional presentation of public investment management reform, which took place in the city of Uzhhorod.
Among other things, the following topics were discussed during the event:
▪️ new architecture for planning documents at local and regional levels;
▪️ the benefits of the reform for communities;
▪️ the institutional framework for the reform and its implementation stages;
▪️ the algorithm for preparing public investment projects.
Speakers included representatives of the Verhovna Rada of Ukraine, central executive authorities, regional military administrations, local governments, civil society organisations, and international partners.
It should be noted that the public investment management reform aims to transform and unify approaches to strategic planning, identification of investment areas, development of public investment projects and programmes, formation of sectoral and unified project portfolios, as well as assessment, prioritisation, monitoring, and control of implementation, including financing.
The event was initiated by the Ministry for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine, DREAM Project Office, and Open Contracting Partnership, with the support of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Ukraine as part of the EU and UNDP flagship initiative EU4Recovery — Empowering Communities in Ukraine and the Inclusive Recovery Support for Resilience and Human Security in Ukraine project with financial support from the Government of Japan.
