First interregional training event JEWELS TOUR in Ferrara

From 15 to 16 October 2024, the team of the Regional Development Agency of Lviv Region, together with representatives of the Tourism and Resorts Department of the Lviv Regional State Administration, took part in the first interregional training event in Ferrara (Italy) within the JEWELS TOUR project.

The event was dedicated to the development of cross-border cooperation, promotion of Jewish heritage, support for sustainable tourism, and improvement of regional policy. Participants had the opportunity to learn about current initiatives designed to enhance Ferrara’s appeal to tourists.

The key topics discussed were:

• methods of engaging stakeholders;
• using digital technologies to preserve and promote cultural heritage;
• key aspects of project management, including technical and financial reporting, data management, sharing of best practices, and communication and dissemination strategies;
• пplan for further steps within the project.

The meeting concluded with a visit to the Museum of Italian Judaism and the Holocaust and a tour of Ferrara’s historic centre, allowing participants to see how the initiatives and innovative methods work in practice.
