Study visit to Poland as part of the Polish Aid project entitled Support for the Development of Entrepreneurship and Competitiveness of Ukrainian Regions — Continuation

Oct. 23, 2025

From 20 to 23 October, a representative of the Lviv Regional Development Agency participated in a study visit to Poland as part of the Polish Aid project entitled Support for the Development of Entrepreneurship and Competitiveness of Ukrainian Regions — Continuation.

The visit focused on studying the experience of Polish institutions in public-private partnerships and public investments — promising instruments of economic growth that are crucial for the development of Ukraine’s regions.

During the trip, participants had the opportunity to meet with experts from the National Bank of Poland and the Department of Public Partnership of the Ministry of Finance and Regional Policy to discuss practical approaches to attracting investment and managing public resources.

Key areas of discussion included:
- Attracting investment: familiarisation with the working model of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency and their systematic approach to supporting investors and creating ready-made investment proposals;
- Funding for communities: an overview of the Ukraine Facility opportunities;
- Infrastructure development: learning from Poland’s experience in implementing public-private partnership projects.

A meeting of the Steering Group for the project was also held during the visit, during which, the results of cooperation in 2025 were summarised, the main vectors of activity for 2026 were outlined, and presentations were made by the Ukrainian National Office of Intellectual Property and Innovation and the Regional Development Agencies of Vinnytsya and Poltava regions.

We sincerely thank the organisers for the opportunity to participate in this visit and gain valuable experience and new knowledge that will contribute to the development of entrepreneurship, investment attractiveness, and competitiveness of the Lviv region.

The project is co-financed under the Polish Aid programme of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland.
