Nov. 20, 2025
On 20 November, Iryna Tymechko, Acting Director of the Regional Development Agency of Lviv Region, took part in the National Forum on Sustainability and Good Governance organised as part of the flagship partnership Empowering Communities in Ukraine (EU4Recovery) by the Ministry of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine, the UNDP Ukraine, and the European Union.
The Forum has become an important national platform for discussing the transformation of local governance and regional policy in conditions of war and European integration.
Representatives of parliament, government, international partners, local governments, and Ukrainian regional development agencies attended the event.
Participants focused on identifying strategic priorities in local government reform, ways to strengthen partnerships between the state, communities, and international organisations, and strengthening the institutional, economic, and social resilience of communities in response to the challenges of wartime — from ensuring continuity of governance to planning for recovery and adaptation.
Working together at the Forum was another step towards strengthening communities and effectively implementing reforms that bring us closer to achieving sustainable development and European standards of governance.
