Meeting of SKYLA project partners in Malmö

From 24 to 25 September 2024, representatives of the Regional Development Agency of Lviv Region took part in the fourth meeting of SKYLA project partners in Malmö located in the Skåne region (Sweden).

The meeting’s goal was to introduce participants to Skåne’s smart specialisation strategy, which focuses on developing skills to support the twin transition, both digital and green, as well as creating an early warning system for potential policy changes. The meeting became a platform for sharing experiences and best practices.

Participants analysed the current status of the SKYLA project implementation, discussed opportunities for improving existing approaches, and shared ideas on overcoming new challenges.

The event also included interactive seminars and two study visits, during which participants had the opportunity to learn about local innovations. The sites visited included:

• Genarps Lådfabrik (GLF), a company working on creating sustainable packaging solutions;
• X-Lab workshop of the Faculty of Engineering at Lund University.

The event once again demonstrated the importance of interregional cooperation in implementing sustainable innovations in education and industry.
