On 26 August 2025, the Regional Development Agency of Lviv Region held the fourth meeting of stakeholders in the JEWELS TOUR project, which served as a platform for discussing strategies for promoting Jewish cultural heritage.
The event brought together representatives of the Lviv Regional State Administration, the Lviv National Academy of Arts, the Lemberik NGO, the Lviv Museum of the History of Religion, the Spadshchyna.UA Charitable Foundation, the Belz City Council, the Stryiske Kolo NGO, and the Honorary Consulate of the State of Israel in Ukraine.
The main focus was on approaches to heritage preservation, its valorisation, and the effective use of marketing tools to raise public awareness of the region’s intercultural heritage.
Project expert Maxym Martyn presented the findings of the research entitled Four Cities: Drohobych, Zhovkva, Belz, Stryi, highlighting their significant potential for promoting Jewish cultural heritage.
Separately, objects requiring investment were discussed, with an emphasis on their importance for the development of tourism and the local economy.
The meeting was another step towards developing a comprehensive approach to preserving Jewish heritage as an important component of cultural diversity in the Lviv region.
