On 15 April, Acting Director Iryna Tymechko took part in the event ‘Enhancing Ukraine’s participation in the Horizon Europe Framework Programme for Research and Innovation’ held in Kyiv. The main topics of the event were:
– Summarising the results of the work of the Horizon Europe Office Coordination Centre in Ukraine and the National Contact Points (NCPs). The Agency is a partner of one of the National Health Contact Points in Ukraine, which operates on the basis of Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University (LNMU) under the leadership of Professor Roman Lesyk.
– Prospects of Ukraine’s participation in the Horizon Europe Framework Programme for Research and Innovation. Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
– Building infrastructure: setting up project offices. Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. The shortage of project managers and the importance of training them to ensure Ukraine’s participation in the Horizon Europe Programme were emphasised.
Iryna Tymechko noted that the creation of the joint Project Office of Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University (LNMU) and the Regional Development Agency of Lviv Region was a response to the challenges and the need for professional support of international activities for the implementation of innovative initiatives.
– Increased participation in competitions of the National Research Foundation of Ukraine.
