On 4 March 2025, Iryna Tymechko, Acting Director of the Regional Development Agency of Lviv Region, and Professor Orest Chemerys, Rector of Danylo Halytskyi Lviv National Medical University, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation.
This agreement initiates the creation of a joint Project Office, which will focus on developing international partnerships in healthcare. Its activities will contribute to the introduction of advanced global experience, the integration of Ukrainian specialists into the European professional community, and the improvement of the quality of medical services in the region.
The cooperation between the Agency and the University will focus on forming international partnerships, strategic development of the healthcare sector, and implementation of efficient mechanisms for interaction. The Regional Development Agency participates in the organisation and support of LNMU’s international activities for the academic community to undertake innovative initiatives at the international level.
We believe that such cooperation will bring qualitative changes to medical education, science, and practice.
