The Regional Development Agency of Lviv Region has joined the large-scale European SKYLA project, which aims to address the shortage of modern skills needed for successful adaptation to the green economy and digital technologies.
The project seeks to modernise the vocational education and training (VET) systems and prepare regions for future challenges.
It covers eight regions in Europe, including Tuscany, Podlaskie Voivodeship, Skåne, Sofia, Fingal, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, and Lithuania. The Regional Development Agency of Lviv Region is a research partner in this project, together with the Chamber of Economy of Montenegro, i.e. it is actively involved in the initial stages of the project, in particular in needs assessment, market analysis, and strategy development. Moreover, it helps to identify the main directions of the project’s development and contributes to its successful implementation.

The project runs from 1 March 2023 till 31 May 2027. Its total budget is €2,254,785. It brings together 13 partners from various countries.
The SKYLA project is being implemented as part of the European Union’s Interreg Europe. The Agency is implementing the project with the support of the Lviv Regional State Administration.
The project is coordinated by Iryna Tymechko.
This initiative will help the region become even more innovative and competitive in the European market.
